ROSS-SHIRE RIDING CLUB POINTS EXPLAINED
This has been amended recently by the committee and this is the system we are now using.
ANNUAL POINTS
Our Annual Points table which is totalled for the Adult and Junior sections will include points
for EVERYTHING you do with our Club – shows, training, dressage, jumping and also
helping before, during or after an event. Each horse/rider combination is awarded separately.
Points as follows –
Placings – 1 st = 6, 2 nd = 5, etc to 6 th
Attending competitions and training sessions = 4 points each
Helping on the day and setting up = 4 points each
Half day helping and clearing up = 2 points each
Placings at the awards evening go down to 10 th place
DRESSAGE LEAGUE
This is based on an average % of competitor’s best 3 tests at the same level as a minimum
– any fewer do not count, but this may be worked out over more tests depending on entries.
The virtual dressage scores will also count on same principles, and each horse/rider combo
is awarded separately.
(Placings count towards Annual Points)
JUMPING LEAGUE
This is worked out on placings at ALL jumping classes including Working Hunter, jumping
phase of Arena Event, as well as the Show Jumping classes; horse/rider combos awarded
separately.
(Placings also count towards annual points)
(Arena event placings decided on least penalties for both dressage and jumping.)
